$30Mecum is set to auction over 3,000 collectible classic cars at the Indiana State Fairgrounds from May 10-18, 2024, and is expected to break all previous records. This will be Mecum’s second-largest annual collector car auction, anticipated to generate over $120 million in sales, following last year’s record of $113 million. Beyond the high-octane bidding, the eight-day event will feature daily Road Art sales, vendor exhibits, plenty of food and drinks, and high-speed rides on the Dodge Race Track.

This year’s Mecum Indianapolis auction will showcase a stunning array of vehicles, including vintage American muscle cars, priceless supercars, modern exotics, timeless classics, rare Corvettes, custom trucks, and hot rods.

FEATURED: “THE MICOLI CAR COLLECTION”
The esteemed Frank Micoli Collection, celebrated for its Italian flair, will be showcased at the auction. This extensive collection features over 40 vintage cars, 17 rare motorcycles, and more than 80 pieces of Road Art. Highlights include nine classic Ferraris, four Alfa Romeos, and four Fiats. The motorcycle segment boasts prestigious brands such as Ducati and MV Agusta and more……
Top Micoli Ferraris include a 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO powered by a 6.0L V-12 engine with only 5,067 kilometers on the odometer. Another is a sleek Nero 2021 Ferrari 812 GTS with only 60 kilometers and is loaded with a high-performance 6.5L V-12 engine.
Among the 31 no-reserve lots from the Micoli collection, notable classics include a black 1965 Pontiac GTO Convertible, a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Fastback that Chrysler reportedly used to develop the AAR Cuda, and the Challenger T/A. Lastly, is a beautiful Rangoon Red 1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL.
THE APEX CAR COLLECTION
The The Apex Collection, another standout at the auction, comprises 38 exceptional vehicles. Highlighting this collection is a limited edition white-over-black 1965 Shelby GT350 Fastback. Not only does this Fastback boast a rich history as a Ford public relations car, but it is also incredibly rare, with only 562 units ever produced.
The Apex car collection also features an unmodified 1966 Shelby 427 Cobra Roadster. This vehicle is notable for being the last one from the initial batch of 100 427 Cobras before the switch to 428 engines. With only 18,066 miles since new, the Cobra retains its original aluminum body, chassis, dual-quad 427 CI V-8 engine, Toploader 4-speed manual transmission, and rear end.
THE BLACK COLLECTION
The Black Corvette Collection features seven 1960s models of “America’s Sports Car,” all in black. Notably, this collection includes a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Convertible, distinguished as one of only two L79 convertibles made in Tuxedo Black with a white interior and factory air conditioning. It boasts a matching-numbers L79 327/350 HP V-8 engine paired with an M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission.

THE EVOLUTION CAR COLLECTION
The Corvette Evolution Collection spans five decades, showcasing 34 highly collectible Chevrolet Corvettes from 1953 to 2003. Highlights include a 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, one of only 29 equipped with the rare J56 Special Sintered Metallic Brake Package, featuring heavy-duty ‘Z06-type’ brakes from the previous year’s discontinued Z06 package.
Additionally, the collection features a 1970 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Convertible, Bloomington Gold Certified and one of only 25 produced in 1970 with the ZR1 Special Purpose Engine Package. This ZR1 is powered by a 350/370 HP LT1 V-8 engine and an M22 4-speed manual transmission.
JASON DIETSCH CAR COLLECTION
The Jason Dietsch Saleen Collection, featured at the 2024 Mecum Auction in Indianapolis, showcases a variety of Fords enhanced by Saleen Automotive. This collection includes vintage Mustangs with low mileage and a Ranger Sportruck, each demonstrating specialty high-performance modifications. THE MARK BULAW CAR COLLECTION
The Mark Bulaw Collection features notable classic vehicles including a rare, unrestored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 and a Vintage Legend Certified 1967 Pontiac GTO. Additionally, the collection boasts a selection of six Mustangs and Shelbys from the Select Vehicles from the Keystone Collection.

Highlighted in our exclusive singles lineup are the 2004 Porsche Carrera GT in rare Basalt Black—one of only 41 allocated for the North American market out of a global production run of 1,270 units over three years. Additionally featured is the 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary, striking in the distinctive Giallo Fly, and one of only six painted in this hue
Featured in the exclusive singles lineup are standout cars like the 2004 Porsche Carrera GT in rare Basalt Black, one of only 41 allocated for the North American market and part of a limited global production of 1,270 units over three years.
Additionally, the lineup includes a 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary in the distinctive “Giallo Fly” exterior color, one of just six in this color. This little Miami Vice roadster is estimated to find a new owner for about $750,000 – $850,000.
Joining these rarities, a 2022 Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimate Roadster makes an appearance, notable for being one of only 250 produced and one of just two adorned in a Miura paint scheme inspired by the 1972 Miura SV.
Moreover, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle LS6 Convertible, meticulously restored to Concours specifications, features a correct CRV-suffix 454/450 HP V-8 engine.
Rounding out the group is a 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk Hardtop, offered by the original owner’s grandson, adding a personal touch to its storied history.
