The Sandhills Motoring Festival and Concours d’Elegance will proudly present over 150 unique and hand-picked collector cars on the picturesque historic streets of Pinehurst N.C. over Memorial Day weekend starting May 24 through May 26, 2024.
The Sunday Concours & Car Show will feature over 16 classes of unique vehicles and a variety of specialty car display cars right in the center of the Village. The cars will be on display from 9 am until 3 pm followed by the car judges presenting trophies to the winners of the Best of Show. The awards start at 2 pm in the center of town.
The Sunday Sandhills Concours offers a breathtaking historic walk through time to share and experience over 160 historic and exotic collector cars with neighbors, friends, and family
Additionally, there will be an awards Banquet & Dinner following the vehicle awards presented on Sunday. The Dinner is scheduled for Sunday, May 26th from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the “Pinehurst Fair Barn” located at 200 Beulah Hill Rd S, Pinehurst, NC 28374. The award dinner will feature a silent auction, cocktails, awards, and a gourmet dinner.
The Moore County Airport’s Main Hangar will host the SMF Hangar Party on Saturday night, with special exhibit automobiles, a catered low country boil, exotic cars, and airplanes on display. Come enjoy a lavish SMF celebration.
This year, Ray Shaffer, an automotive personality and expert, was named Grand Marshal for the 2024 Sandhills Motoring Festival.

Sandhills Motoring Festival Block Party

On Friday, the Sandhills Motoring Festival kicks off the weekend with a block party that includes an informal car show, dinner, entertainment, and a BBQ. The Block Party takes place at the heart of the Village of Pinehurst. (Here you can register and buy a ticket to the block party)

Sandhills Road Rally
Saturday, May 25, 2024 (8:00 am – 2:00 pm)
On Saturday Morning, the Sandhills SMF Road Rally takes off from the Pine Crest Inn on a 65-mile journey through the beautiful back roads of Moore County. The 2024 road rally winners were a 1982 Mercedes-Benz 300CD Turbo Diesel owned by Nicholas and Gillian Grdina and a 2010 Porsche Carrera S owned by David and Julie Verchick.

Backroads Pottery Rally

The SMF Backroads Pottery Tour is a special event that features Ben Owen and various North Carolina artists in Seagrove, NC.
