(Updated July 18, 2023) The Legends of the Autobahn is an all-German Marque Car show that takes place during Monterey Car Week in Pacific Grove, CA, on August 17, 2023.
Every year, the event draws thousands of German car enthusiasts who are eager to get a close and personal look at a collection of over 400 German-made classic cars. Such well-known manufacturers as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and more, will be on display at the event.
The Legends of the Autobahn will be held at the Pacific Grove Golf Links in Pacific Grove, CA – which is about eight miles from Monterey.
On the golf course of the Pacific Grove Golf Greens, The Legends Of The Autobahn® is an all-German marque Concours d’Elegance that features some of the most sought-after German-Made collector cars, including new, old, classic, vintage, rare, and race cars.
The car show is part of a series of automotive events that are a prelude to the famed Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance during Monterey Car Week. This year is the 13th annual show, which has gained the reputation of being one of the most prestigious car shows in the world.

The Car Show/Concours will feature over 400 German-made new, vintage, and extremely rare collector cars from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, VW, and many more. Also on display will be historical vehicles, as well as factory-prepared specials and celebrated race cars. In addition to a +400 classic car show, the event will also showcase exhibits and displays from local and national manufacturers, sponsors, and vendors.
The Concours concludes with award presentations for all three primary marques and a (soon to be announced) featured German-made car category. The car show and award presentation will be hosted by the BMW Car Club of America, the Mercedes-Benz Club of America, and the Audi Club of North America.
Over the years, Legends Of The Autobahn® has gained national acclaim among German car enthusiasts, receiving extensive coverage in the automotive media. The event achieved international recognition in 2011 with the North American debut of the BMW 328 Hommage concept car. Subsequent years have seen the unveiling of other notable vehicles, such as the BMW Zagato Z4 Roadster concept in 2012, and the highly-anticipated M4 GTS concept car in 2014.”
