Concours d’Elegance of America Celebrates 42 Annual at St. Johns Inn in Plymouth Michigan on July 23-25, 2021
July 23, 2021 - July 25, 2021$25
The Concours d’Elegance of America Car show is the third-largest automobile Concours in the country and is about to celebrate its 42nd annual competition of cars at the St Johns Inn in Plymouth Michigan on July 25, 2021.
For the past 42 years, the Concours d’Elegance of America has been a major attraction for top car collectors and car enthusiasts from coast to coast. The car show will host over 300 classic, vintage, and antique historic vehicles to compete in a Concours d’Elegance for awards and distinction.
This weekend, July 23-25, the events will include a Battle of the Brands sports car show, a large Cars and Coffee free car show, a Concours d’LeMons featuring unique vehicles, a Hagerty Ride rally type drive, and other public and private activities (See Schedule Below. The weekend will culminate on Sunday with the 300 car historic car show and competition.
Each year, passionate car collectors and enthusiasts showcase their most prized vintage cars and motorcycles to compete for award-winning prizes. Each vehicle and owner compete for the best-preserved authentic vehicle.
The Concours d’Elegance competition has a long tradition of displaying, celebrating, and rewarding each best-in-class car owner with a trophy for excellence in automotive design, style, and engineering.
The Concours’ goal is to empower future generations of car collectors and car enthusiasts to further appreciate the historic significance of classic and vintage vehicles. It does this by providing complete unfettered access to both the owners, their stories, and their cars themselves.
This year, car owners competing for awards will feature some historic rare and never-seen-before vehicle types. For instance, on display at the event, will be very relevant vehicles such as the antique and historic Gas Light–era vehicles of the early 1900s.
Additional vehicles in the spotlight at the show will be the Ferrari Monza, Radwood Class Drag Cars, and brand-new Super Cars, and Hyper Cars. Beyond that, there will be featured lectures on the influence of Muscle Cars from 1970-1971 and the famous “Black Ghost”. The Black Ghost is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE and one of the most feared muscle cars of the ’70s.
On Sunday, three top car collections will be for viewing from Ken Lingenfelter Collection, The Stahl Collection, and Larry Smith Collection.
The Concours car show and all events will take place on the beautiful grassy grounds of the Inn of the St. Johns in Plymouth Michigan. The Inn at St. John’s is located at 44045 Five Mile Road, Plymouth, MI 48170 just west of Metro Detroit.
Lastly, The Concours d’Elegance of America is proud to support and contributed over $5 million to the restoration of Meadow Brook Hall. Also, proceeds benefit the Kettering University and College for Creative Studies, The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Project Beautiful – Inside and Out.
