Old Car Festival and Car Show at Greenfield Village

Come see the Longest-Running Antique Car Show In America at the “Old Car Festival” at the Greenfield Village Car Museum in Dearborn, Michigan on September 10–11, 2022. Greenfield Village is a 1900’s replica city that will host a two-day festival including antique car experiences, historically styled food, car-themed events, Dixie-Land Music, an antique car show, and a Disney-styled parade.

Greenfield Village offers an immersive, historic, fun-filled family event of parading antique automotive cars, paved streets, gas-powered street lamps, and live music and dancing from the River Raisin Ragtime Band. Enjoy car talks with passionate historians, car owners, and automotive experts while overlooking hundreds of historic autos, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles.

Afterward, you will be able to witness awards for the best restored and unrestored cars. Throughout the car show, you will be able to watch a live demonstration of a Ford Motors team assembling a Model T from scratch. The event ends with a Saturday evening Gaslight Car Parade through the brick-paved streets while whistling to Dixie-Land-themed music.

NEW AT GREENFIELD VILLAGE IN 2022: Exhibits: “Early American Luxury”
Join the fun this year at the Old Car Festival to honor the great names in early American luxury — many gone, but none to be forgotten. At the dawn of the 20th century, any automobile was a luxury purchase. Once the Model T made cars commonplace, “luxury cars” took on a distinct meaning in the United States. In the boom years of the 1920s, a high-end automobile was the ultimate status symbol. In the 1930s, the “Three Ps” — Packard, Peerless, and Pierce-Arrow — stood at the top. The “Detroit Three” had upmarket brands like Cadillac, LaSalle, and Lincoln, and upscale models like Chrysler’s Imperial. In Indiana, E.L. Cord assembled a posh trio of his own with Auburn, Cord, and Duesenberg.
