Tom Brady is widely considered the “GOAT” of professional football — the “Greatest of All Time” — and his career places him in the rarest tier of modern sports royalty alongside names such as Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Lionel Messi, and Novak Djokovic.
Over 23 NFL seasons, Brady won seven Super Bowl championships, five Super Bowl MVP awards, three league MVP awards, and retired as the most accomplished quarterback in NFL history.
Retirement has hardly slowed him down. Brady now works as FOX Sports’ lead NFL analyst, is a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, remains involved in major business and sports investments, and lives in a spectacular waterfront estate on Indian Creek Island near Miami — the ultra-exclusive community often nicknamed “Billionaire Bunker.”
The property was purchased in 2020 and redeveloped into a modern waterfront compound with a pool, spa, private gym, outdoor entertaining areas, and sweeping views across Biscayne Bay.

And then there are the cars. Over the years, Brady and his former wife, Gisele Bündchen, have been associated with an impressive mix of luxury sedans, SUVs, electric vehicles, sports cars, and exotic supercars. The list includes a Bugatti Veyron, Rolls-Royce Ghost, Aston Martin DB11, Ferrari 458, Audi R8, Range Rover, Cadillac Escalade, Lexus GS, BMW X5, Audi S5, Lexus RX, Tesla Model S, and more. For a man who started out driving a $200 Dodge Dart, the garage Brady assembled during one of the greatest careers in sports is quite a story in itself.c
It is an impressive collection, but Brady certainly did not start out that way.
Brady’s journey from an overlooked college quarterback to the most successful player in NFL history took decades.
After four years at the University of Michigan, Brady was selected by the New England Patriots with the 199th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft.
He went on to play 20 seasons for New England before spending his final three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
By the time he retired, Brady had won seven Super Bowls, appeared in 10, earned five Super Bowl MVP awards, won three NFL MVP awards, and established numerous regular-season and postseason passing records.
But Tom Brady’s automotive story began much more modestly.
Brady has said that one of his first cars was an old 1967 Dodge Dart that he bought from his sister for only $200. By his own description, it was a real clunker.

Tom Brady’s first car was reportedly a 1967 Dodge Dart that he bought from his sister for only $200.
One of Brady’s first serious luxury vehicles as an NFL player was a Cadillac Escalade. Brady later described it as his first “real car” and said he loved it.

After Brady left New England and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, he was frequently photographed driving a Tesla Model S around the Tampa area.
The Tesla reportedly featured dark tinted windows and a chrome-delete appearance package that gave the electric sedan a more understated look.

Tom Brady was frequently seen driving a Tesla Model S during his years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
It has never been completely clear whether Brady purchased the Tesla himself or obtained it through another arrangement, so it is safest to describe it as a vehicle closely associated with him.
Brady and Bündchen were also associated with several electric and hybrid vehicles over the years, including the Tesla Model S, Lexus GS 450h, Cadillac Escalade Hybrid, and Lexus RX Hybrid.
One of the most unusual vehicles connected with Brady was a heavily customized Cadillac Escalade ESV designed around luxury passenger comfort.

Tom Brady’s custom Cadillac Escalade ESV included reclining seats, a large entertainment screen, and extensive interior modifications.
The custom Cadillac Escalade ESV featured a raised roof, reclining captain’s chairs, an entertainment system, and other luxury modifications designed to make the SUV function more like a private executive lounge than a standard Escalade.

Over the years, Brady has owned or been associated with homes in New England, California, New York, Florida, and other luxury properties. His success also opened the door to private aviation, high-end automobiles, business investments, and numerous endorsement deals.

A Ferrari 458 has also been associated with Tom Brady’s collection. The mid-engine Ferrari combines exotic styling with naturally aspirated V8 performance.

How Tom Brady Finished His NFL Career
Tom Brady’s NFL career lasted an extraordinary 23 seasons.
After the New England Patriots selected him 199th overall in the 2000 NFL Draft, Brady spent his rookie season primarily as a backup. He took over as New England’s starting quarterback in 2001 after Drew Bledsoe was injured and promptly led the Patriots to a victory in Super Bowl XXXVI.
That championship became the first of six Super Bowl victories Brady would win with New England.
During his 20 seasons with the Patriots, Brady helped create one of the greatest dynasties in professional sports. New England won Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII, XXXIX, XLIX, LI, and LIII with Brady at quarterback.

Following the 2019 season, Brady left the Patriots as a free agent and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
At 43 years old, Brady immediately transformed Tampa Bay into a championship team.
During his first season with the Buccaneers, he threw for 4,633 yards and 40 touchdowns before leading Tampa Bay through the playoffs and defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV.
Brady was named Super Bowl MVP for the fifth time in his career.
The victory gave him his seventh Super Bowl championship — more than any individual NFL franchise had won at the time.
Brady continued to produce remarkable numbers late in his career. In 2021, at age 44, he led the NFL with 5,316 passing yards and 43 touchdown passes.
He returned for one final season in 2022 and started all 17 games for Tampa Bay, completing an NFL-record 490 passes on 733 attempts while throwing for 4,694 yards and 25 touchdowns.
The Buccaneers finished 8-9 but still won the NFC South and reached the playoffs.
Tampa Bay’s season ended with a 31-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Wild Card round on Jan. 16, 2023.
Just over two weeks later, on Feb. 1, 2023, Brady announced that he was retiring from professional football “for good.”
He finished his NFL career with:
- 23 NFL seasons
- 7 Super Bowl championships
- 10 Super Bowl appearances
- 5 Super Bowl MVP awards
- 3 NFL MVP awards
- 15 Pro Bowl selections
- 89,214 regular-season passing yards
- 649 regular-season touchdown passes
- 251 regular-season quarterback victories
- 35 postseason victories
Brady retired as the NFL’s all-time leader in numerous major passing and postseason categories and is eligible for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2028.
What Is Tom Brady Doing Now?
Retirement did not take Tom Brady very far from football. In 2024, Brady began the next major chapter of his career when he joined FOX Sports as the network’s lead NFL analyst.
Brady works alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt on FOX’s top NFL broadcast team. His broadcasting agreement with FOX was originally announced in 2022, before he had even finished playing.
His first season in the booth included calling some of FOX’s biggest games, culminating with Super Bowl LIX in February 2025.
At the same time, Brady has moved from playing professional football to owning part of an NFL franchise.
In October 2024, NFL owners unanimously approved Brady as a limited partner of the Las Vegas Raiders. Brady personally owns a 5% stake in the franchise.
His Raiders ownership creates an unusual dual role: Brady is simultaneously an NFL team owner and one of the league’s most prominent television analysts.
Because of that ownership interest, the NFL has placed certain restrictions on Brady’s access to other teams. Those rules have evolved over time, but his ownership stake remains an important consideration in his broadcasting work.
Brady has also invested in other sports properties and businesses, including a stake in the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces.
So while his days of throwing touchdown passes are over, Brady remains deeply involved in professional sports.
He has gone from being the quarterback chasing championships to analyzing the games on national television and helping oversee an NFL franchise from the ownership side.
For someone whose life revolved around football for more than two decades, retirement has looked less like leaving the sport and more like moving into a completely different seat.
