The Silverstone Festival, previously known as Silverstone Classic, is one of the United Kingdom’s largest motorsport events, dedicated to celebrating the history of auto racing. Founded in 1990, this annual three-day event features historic motorsport racing, live music, family-friendly entertainment, and The Celebrated Iconic Classic Car Auctions.

“The cover photo showcases an iconic 1963 Triumph TR4 FIA (Race/Fast Road) that will be featured at the Iconic Auction. This one-of-a-kind, versatile FIA-papered TR4 off-road rally car boasts impressive features, including a Quaife straight-cut 4-speed transmission and twin 48DCO Webers, producing a whopping 196bhp. Priced to sell between £30,000 – £40,000.“

The Silverstone Festival attracts over 70,000 car enthusiasts, eager to experience hundreds of vintage and historic race cars. Additionally, the event will feature more than 10,000 classic cars racing over 20 motor circuit races.

Beyond racing, the three-day festival offers interactive activities, experiential rides, automotive demonstrations, live music, and plenty of shopping and food options. Best of all, the event offers free access to the paddocks and grandstands.

One of the highlights of the weekend festival will be a series of Iconic Classic Car Auctions, featuring an all-star lineup of classic cars, vintage motorcycles, and hundreds of pieces of auto-related memorabilia.

Returning for their 14th year as the official auction partner to the Silverstone Festival, Iconic Auctioneers promises an unforgettable experience for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Among the standout vehicles set to grace the auction block are a 1989 Bentley Continental, a 1996 Porsche 911 (993) Carrera 4 Cabriolet, a 2001 Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 SE Coupé, a 1999 Lotus Sport Elise (190) by SVO, and a 2015 Lotus Exige V6 Cup.

Two vintage car classics to come under the hammer will be a 1996 Porsche 911 (993) Carrera 4 Cabriolet and a 2001 Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 SE Coupé only Car Nine of 42 produced with only 564 Original Miles.

Featured Vehicles

Two standout vehicles up for auction on July 24th are a 1996 Porsche 911 (993) Carrera 4 Cabriolet and a 2001 Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 SE Coupé.

The first is a 1996 Porsche 911 (993) Carrera 4 Cabriolet. Featuring a manual transmission, this car is one of the rarest UK-supplied, manual gearbox, AWD convertible Porsches of its era, with just 39,103 miles from new. It is priced to sell at £75,000 – £85,000.

The second is a 2001 Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 SE Coupé, one of only nine produced out of a total of 42. This particular car has only 564 miles since it rolled off the assembly line. As a last-of-the-line great Lamborghini Diablo, this rare factory Special Edition has all the upgrades and is capable of reaching speeds over 205 miles per hour. It is estimated to sell for around £400,000 – £500,000.

On Saturday, August 24, the Motorcycle Sale will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the Competition Car Sale at 11:30 AM, and the Collectors’ Car Sale at 1:00 PM.
