The 38th Annual EyesOn Design Car Show returns on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 15, 2025, transforming the historic 87-acre Eleanor & Edsel Ford Estate in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan, into a world-class celebration of automotive artistry, design, and innovation.

This year’s theme, “The Art of Design,” will showcase over 200 vehicles that highlight the remarkable intersection of automotive innovation and artistic expression.

“I love this show because it’s really a designer’s car show. The cause—research for vision restoration—is so incredible. And the curation of cars is amazing.”
Ralph Gilles, Chief Design Officer at Stellantis

EyesOn Design distinguishes itself by focusing exclusively on automotive design aesthetics. Judging is conducted by professional designers from global original equipment manufacturers.

They evaluate each vehicle’s exterior based on emotional appeal, execution, artistic excellence, and design character. Interiors are assessed for appearance, functionality, material usage, color coordination, and harmony with the exterior.

The 2025 Eyes On Design Car Show featuing over 200 collector cars on the lawns of the Henry Ford Estate.

The Car Show will spotlight over 200 vehicles, including legendary Detroit-manufactured models that have defined automotive design from the 1900s to the present. From iconic muscle cars like the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro to groundbreaking concepts such as the Chrysler Turbine Car.

This approach ensures that recognition is given to vehicles that exemplify outstanding design, irrespective of restoration status or historical significance.

Built in 1928, the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House is an 87-acre estate

Built in 1928, the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House is an 87-acre estate featuring over 60 rooms. Now a museum, it offers private tours celebrating the rich history of Detroit and the Ford Motor Company. The estate’s architecture and design reflect the legacy of automotive innovation and elegance.

A LEGACY OF DESIGN EXCELLENCE

Established in 1987, the EyesOn Design Car Show emerged from a collaborative vision of design leaders at General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler.

Conceived as an event judged exclusively by automotive designers, it set a new standard by focusing solely on the artistry and innovation inherent in vehicle design.

Over the years, EyesOn Design has evolved into a premier automotive exhibition, attracting designers, collectors, manufacturers, and enthusiasts from around the globe.

THE HISTORIC FORD HOUSE VENUE

The event’s setting—the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan—adds a layer of historical significance. This 87-acre estate, once home to Edsel Ford, son of automotive pioneer Henry Ford, and his wife Eleanor, is a masterpiece of design itself. Architect Albert Kahn and landscape architect Jens Jensen crafted a residence that seamlessly blends architectural elegance with natural beauty. Designated a National Historic Landmark, the estate offers a fitting backdrop for an event celebrating automotive design excellence. (Ford House)

SUPPORTING VISIONARY RESEARCH

Beyond its celebration of design, EyesOn Design serves a philanthropic purpose. Proceeds from the event benefit the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology (DIO), the research arm of Henry Ford Health’s Department of Ophthalmology. To date, the event has raised over $4 million, supporting research, education, and support programs for the visually impaired.
