The Downtown Cruise-In

One of the most anticipated events of the ACD weekend is “The Downtown Cruise-In,” which kicks off at 10:00 a.m. on September 1st.

Here, you can actually participate yourself! Hundreds of car collectors and car enthusiasts bring their own classic cars to fill the streets of downtown Auburn.

In past years, the Downtown Cruise-In has showcased up to 800 classic cars, ranging from hot rods and muscle cars to imports and other unique vehicles. As you wander around Auburn’s historic courthouse, you’ll be immersed in a vibrant atmosphere, surrounded by a diverse array of automobiles echoing tales of yesteryear and innovations of today.

But the true stars of the show can be found at the “9th Street Experience”, situated between Jackson and Main. Here, you’ll encounter the crown jewels: the iconic Auburns, Cords, and Duesenbergs, proudly presented by the ACD Club. Don’t miss this automotive spectacle; it promises a blend of history, culture, and sheer automotive passion.

“SweetCars” and the Fort Wayne Driving Club

This year, The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival is delighted to welcome back SweetCars and the Fort Wayne Driving Club (FWDC) to downtown Auburn for the 2023 edition of “Fast and Fabulous powered by SweetCars!”

Think of the “Sweetcars Event” as Supercar Heavan!!!

The Sweetcars Event starts on Saturday, September 2nd, at 4:30 p.m. with the thunderous grand entrance of over 100 contemporary exotic supercars and sports cars. Here you will witness such illustrious exotic brands as Ferrari, Bugatti, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche, Corvette, Camaro, Mustang, and more.

Following the grand entrance, all the cars will be prominently displayed on the city’s side streets and around the courthouse square. The Sweetcars Event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Following the SweetCars event, gather your friends and family for an evening of live music. Starting at 6:00 PM, the band “Reload” will take the stage, setting the mood with their tunes. They’ll be followed by the band “REkT”. It’s the perfect way to continue the festivities and enjoy some quality time with loved ones.

Parade of Classics

Another must-see event of the Festival is the cherished Parade of Classics on Saturday, September 2nd, starting at 1 p.m.

During this two-hour Parade of Classics, ACD Club members from around the world will showcase their stunning vintage cars, parading them through Auburn’s scenic streets. After the procession, these iconic vehicles will be on display around the courthouse square and along 9th Street, adjacent to the Auburn Hotel.

This year, the Parade of Classics celebrates the “Year of the Supercharged Car.” Special appearances include our esteemed Grand Marshal, Corky Coker, and a performance by DeKalb High School’s Baron Brigade Marching Band. Don’t miss this tribute to automotive history!

After the car parade, the cars will be lined up and down Auburn’s downtown streets.
