FORMULA ONE’S EXPANSION IN THE UNITED STATES

Formula One’s popularity in the United States has surged recently. Before 2021, the US hosted only one F1 race at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

However, with the addition of the Miami Grand Prix in May 2022, which attracted 2.6 million US viewers, F1’s presence in the US has grown significantly. The upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix marks another significant milestone, being the first F1 race in the city since 1982.

F1’s commitment to integrating the sport within host cities is evident in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Grand Prix CEO, Renee Wilm, highlighted the efforts and inconveniences involved in setting up the race, emphasizing the positive impact on the area.
