The car also includes a plaque reading “Donald Trump 1997 Diablo,” adding to its exclusivity. Here’s a little-known story about Donald Trump’s car collection and his influence on the Supercar Craze in South Florida. Back in 2005, Trump purchased a fixer-upper estate in Palm Beach and relisted it on the open market for $110 million. To generate a buzz, he teamed up with a young event promoter, John Temerian, and together they launched the first-ever Supercar Weekend at the property.
For Trump, it was love at first sight: seeing over 50 Supercars displayed on his estate’s lawn inspired him to buy the Limited Edition 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT.
The event was so popular that it made the front page of the Palm Beach Post the next day. As for the promoter, John went on to grow Supercar Weekend into a phenomenon, turning South Florida into the supercar capital of the world.
To some, Donald Trump and John were the spark behind the supercar craze that now dominates South Florida. John Temerian on Donald Trump Supercar event.

But there’s just one hitch – Donald Trump Cant’ Drive!!
By law, Trump can’t drive on public roads—ever! As NBC put it: “A 1958 law called the Former Presidents Act restricts ex-presidents and president from getting behind the wheel of a car in public.” So, while Trump may have access to some of the world’s most spectacular cars, he can’t legally take the wheel—unless it’s a lap around his private estate at Mar-a-Lago. For a guy who loves cars, it’s got to sting a little!

Today, one of these ultra-rare limos is showcased at the Volo Auto Museum in Illinois, recognized as the first “Trump-branded” item.
