One of the largest yearly festivals in the Tampa Bay Area is the Gasparilla Pirate Festival, as anyone who has lived in Tampa for any length of time will attest.

This Downtown Tampa celebration, which takes place each January, unites locals and visitors for a memorable pirate-themed festival that includes a huge parade, a car show, live music, family-friendly activities, and much more.

One of the main event during the festival is the Gasparilla Concours d’Elegance. The Concours will host a delightful weekend celebrating the history and culture of historic classic collectible cars from December 2-4, 2022.

The main event is the Gasparilla Concours d’Elegance Car Show, which takes place on Saturday, December 3rd at the Tampa Bay Golf Course.

The weekend of events includes a Tour d’Elegance, a Concours d’Elegance a Car Club Showcase Car Show, a Silent Charity Auction, a Vintage Fashion Show, and ends with a Nickel Historic Driving Tour.

The Gasparilla Concours d’Elegance will feature some of the rarest, original, and historically important automobiles and motorcycles of their era.  This is the only true Concours d’Elegance for Tampa Bay and holds true to the meaning of “Gasparilla”  which is defined by local residents as “Tampa Bay’s Most Famous Social Season”.

GCDE Tour d’Elegance – Friday, December 2, 2022

On Friday, the GCDE Tour d’Elegance will feature Concours entrants seeking to prove their road-worthiness and add important extra points (one for starting, one for completing) to their Judging Card on Concours Saturday.

The starting point is at Old Wheel Restorations, 12820 Gibson Lane, Odessa, FL 33556, just 15 minutes away from the event showgrounds.

Those participating in the Tour d’Elegance will enjoy a scenic route through rural Odessa, historic Safety Harbor, and Oldsmar (yes, founded by R.E. Olds himself!) Lunch will be at the beautiful waterfront Philippe Park. The entire route is approx. 35 miles roundtrip.

Those of you who want to cheer them on, and get some great photographs and video, should mark their spot in front of the shops along Main Street in Safety Harbor, Fl.

There are some great food and beverage spots on Main St., so come for lunch, and see the procession at approximately 2 pm. This is the only area open to the public for viewing these great vehicles in motion.

All other stops are reserved for the Concours vehicles and owners only. Participants will return to the starting point at approximately 4:00pm in time for the 5:00pm move-in start time at the Steinbrenner High School Truck & Trailer Parking. **This tour is completely free to our Concours participants, lunch is included!

The Gasparilla Concours d’Elegance Sunday Nickel Tour – Saturday, December 3, 2022
Mystery Tour in your Classic Car or your Modern Car

The GCDE “Nickel Tour” takes place on Sunday, December 4, 2022. On the tour, you will learn about the history of the Tampa Bay Area from the comfort of your own car.

The tour starts at Old Wheel Restorations, 12820 Gibson Lane, Odessa, FL 33556, just 15 minutes away from TPC Tampa Bay Golf Course. The Old Wheel Restorations facility has plenty of FREE parking for vehicles, trucks, and trailers.

The tour starts with a welcome breakfast and tour instructions. Your tour will include very little traffic, beautiful scenery, and a commemorative photo. At the end of the tour, we enjoy a delicious lunch, games, and over $1,000 in prizes.
