Attention all car collectors! Here comes a brand new auction to the The Big Easy. Barrett-Jackson will be venturing into the heart of New Orleans to auction over 150 vintage cars and a treasure trove of antique auto memorabilia. From September 28th to 30th, the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center will echo with the rumbles of engines, the buzz of bidding, and the constant pounding of the auctioneers’ gavels.

Have you ever dreamed of owning an exotic mid-engine like the 2005 Ford GT Hennessey 1000? From the creator himself, Craig Jackson, the man behind the Barrett-Jackson magic, couldn’t contain his excitement about New Orleans. “This isn’t just an auction, it’s a celebration,” he noted. “From supercars like the 2020 Lamborghini Huracan to iconic American classics such as the custom 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window, we’re setting the stage for a historical showcase.”

Speaking of supercars, get ready to feast your eyes on a one-of-a-kind 2005 Ford GT Hennessey 1000 supercar modified by Hennessey Performance Engineering. This Ford 2005 GT boasts custom twin 67mm turbos and an impressive 1,000 horsepower. Also in the limelight will be the 2020 Lamborghini Huracan LP640-4 EVO and the first-ever 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV straight off the production line!

This 2005 Ford GT 1000hp family includes 4,028 total GTs produced by Ford from 2005-06 model years. It includes custom modifications by Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE), by custom-installed twin 67mm turbos in conjunction with the factory Eaton 2.3-liter twin-screw supercharger. All this added up and gave birth to the Hennessey/Ford GT1000.

For those who cherish the classics, the auction will feature a stellar collection from the 1960s classics. Picture cruising in a perfect condition black 1966 Lincoln Continental V8-powered custom convertible, or the rare 1963 Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadsters M-code Sports Roadster. And from over the pond, let’s not forget an elegantly restored 1963 Mercedes-Benz 220SEB convertible!

From Steve Davis, Barrett-Jackson’s president, chimed in, “The South has a rich tapestry of car culture. New Orleans, with its vibrant heritage, is the perfect backdrop for our electric auction experience.”
