(London: 10/11/2022) – RM Sotheby’s will auction over fifty supercars and vintage sports car at one of the historic Marlborough House in London, England on November 5, 2022.
The auction will take place in conjunction with the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run and the Royal Automobile Club, two of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious auto events for car collections.

Two cars that will find new owners are: (Left) a 1964 Aston Martin DB5 ‘Project’ Car, and a 1984 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 S (Right).
A large number of the exotic marques that will come under the auctioneer’s hammer include some rare supercars that rarely enter the auction market.

More than a supercar auction, the event will share the limelight with the historic 126th anniversary of the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run and the Royal Automobile Club.
The Veteran Car Run is the oldest and most prestigious car event in the world. It attracts car collectors from around the world, and all RM Sotheby’s participants are asked to join in on the fun.

THE VENUE: The event will take place in the historic sixteenth century Marlborough House that was designed by architect Christopher Wren back in 1711 and is now owned by King Charles III. The House is located in the City of Westminster, London and is the headquarters of the Commonwealth of Nations and the seat of the Commonwealth Secretariat. It was built in 1711 for Sarah Churchill, As a state house, the mansion houses numerous priceless antiques and other paintings including a notable giant murals by French decorative sixteenth century painter Louis Laguerre. Marlborough House is probably the most famous and notorious grand houses that lie behind the wall on the north side of the Mall. The Marlborough House was built in 1711 for Sarah Churchill, the first Duchess of Marlborough. Her husband was the most notorious soldier of his day winning several battles over France’s King Louis XIV.
The London to Brighton Veteran Car Run is the world’s longest-running motoring event, held on a course between London and Brighton, England. To qualify, participating cars must have been built before 1905. It is also the world’s largest gathering of veteran cars.[a] The first edition, “The Emancipation Run” in 1896, celebrated the recently passed Locomotives on Highways Act 1896, which liberalized motor vehicle laws in the United Kingdom. The Veteran run has taken place most years since its initial revival in 1927. It currently takes place on the first Sunday in November, starting at sunrise in Hyde Park, London, and mostly following the old A23 road to the finish at Brighton – a distance of 54 miles (87 km). There are two official stops along the way: Crawley (for coffee) and Preston Park (in a suburb of Brighton). Preston Park is the official finishing point; the cars then proceed to Madeira Drive on the seafront, also the venue for Brighton’s other big motoring event, the Brighton Speed Trials. RM Sotheby’s London to Brighton Veteran Car Run will honor more than 120 years of motoring history. Around 350 iconic antique pre-1905 vehicles are expected to take part in the non-competitive 60-mile journey from the capital to the coast.
