This year, RM Sotheby’s has announced that its lineup of classic cars promises to be one of the finest ever seen in Monterey, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. The RM Sotheby’s Monterey Auction will take place from August 16–17, 2024, at the stunning Monterey Conference Center in Pebble Beach, CA, just steps away from downtown Monterey and Fisherman’s Wharf.

The 2023 RM Sotheby’s Monterey Auction was a resounding success, showcasing an impressive array of automotive excellence. The event’s crown jewel was the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider by Scaglietti, which commanded top dollar and set the tone for the auction.
Among the standout sales were the elegant 1959 Ferrari 410 Superamerica Coupe Series III by Pinin Farina, fetching an impressive $6.6 million, and the classic 1937 Bugatti Type 57SC Tourer by Corsica, which sold for $5.4 million.
Adding star power to the event, Steve McQueen’s 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 by Scaglietti also achieved a remarkable $5.4 million. Modern supercars also left their mark, with a 1995 Ferrari F50 selling for $4.2 million and a 2003 Ferrari Enzo captivating collectors at $4.075 million.

This year (2024), RM Sotheby’s will raise the bar even higher. Three Iconic Ferrari Scaglietti Cars: Priced from $9 Million to $18 Million
Leading the pack is the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider by Scaglietti, expected to fetch between $16 and $18 million. Hot on its heels is the 1955 Ferrari 410 Sport Spider by Scaglietti, with estimates exceeding $15 million. Four Ferrai’s with asking price $10 to $5 million
For Formula 1 fans, the 2002 Ferrari F2001b offers a piece of racing history, estimated at $8 to $10 million. The elegant 1960 Ferrari 400 Superamerica SWB Cabriolet by Pinin Farina is expected to command $6 to $7 million, while the 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 NART Alloy by Scaglietti and the 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider by Scaglietti are both estimated in the $5 to $7 million range.
Rounding out the top offerings are the 1934 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Lungo Spider by Eagle Coach Works and the 1995 Ferrari F50, each expected to fetch between $4.5 and $6 million. Finally, the 1932 Delage D8 S Roadster by Pourtout adds a touch of French elegance to the lineup, with estimates ranging from $4 to $6 million.
Beyond the above super seller million-dollar cars, RM Sotheby’s will be rolling an all-star lineup of some of the most prestigious and sought-after marques on the market.
