RM Sotheby’s inaugural auction will launch in Dubai for the first time on March 9, 2024, with a fantastic selection of multi-million dollar vehicles. The auction will also include priceless watches, collectible model cars and other vintage car collector memorabilia. The one-day auction will take place at Dubai’s new “Concrete” venue”, a new uniquely designed building in the UAE designed by the Office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA).

Notable highlights include a diverse selection of luxury and performance vehicles. For instance, the 2018 Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet (Lot 140) stands out as a rare gem, being one of just 99 examples produced.
The 2018 Mercedes-Benz G 65 AMG ‘Final Edition’ stands out as an exclusive vehicle, with only 65 units available worldwide. Powered by a robust 6.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V-12 engine, it delivers 621 brake horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque. Dressed in an imposing Obsidian Black Metallic finish, this G-Wagen is among the most fully equipped models ever offered. With just 457 kilometres on the odometer, it presents a rare opportunity to own a piece of automotive history.
This ultimate G-Wagen, designed for both luxury and off-road capability, features a V-12 engine producing 621 brake horsepower and is estimated to sell for between $250,000 – $330,000 USD.
Another beast of a car at the auction will be a 2016 Koenigsegg Agera RSR with an estimated value of $2,800,000 to $3,400,000 USD. The Koenigsegg is presented in a stunning black with red accents and carbon fiber trim. Best of all, the Odometer reads only 993 kilometers.
The Hypercar Koenigsegg Agera is a mid-engine sports car produced by the Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg. It is a successor to the CCX/CCXR. The name comes from the Swedish verb ‘agera’, which means ‘to act’ or in imperative form, ‘(You) act!’. The Agera RS variant became the world’s fastest production car in 2017, setting a record with a GPS-verified two-way average top speed of 447 km/h (278 mph) and a fastest straight-line speed of 458 km/h (285 mph). This 2016 Koenigsegg Agera quickly became a hit after its 2010 launch, earning Top Gear’s Hypercar of the Year award the same year. Despite Koenigsegg’s recent entry into the auto industry in 1994, the Agera outshone older rivals. Koenigsegg continually upgraded the Agera, releasing the Agera R in 2011, Agera S in 2013, One:1 in 2014, and the Agera RS in 2015.
The Agera RS, known as “the ultimate track tool,” combined the best of its predecessors with a light, racetrack-optimized design. It featured a 5.0-litre V-8 engine producing 1,160 horsepower. In 2017, a special version of the Agera RS set a world record with an average speed of 447 km/h, making it the fastest production car at the time.
Another major draw for hypercar enthusiasts is the limited edition 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupé. With only 123 kilometers on the odometer, it is presented in ‘as new’ condition. This rare vehicle boasts reflective gloss carbon fiber and Black Matte lightweight magnesium wheels. It has an electronically limited top speed of 220 mph and can outperform almost any other car on the road with an acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds.
This limited edition 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupé is one of the most wanted and sought-after supercars in the world. Designed by Adrian Newey Miles Nurnberger, this Valkyrie will come available at the RM Sotheby Bubai auction and will have an asking price of $2,900,000 – $3,300,000 USD.
The above Formula 1-inspired Valkyrie Coupé is a road-legal racer and Aston Martin’s Formula 1-inspired road-legal race car is one of only 150 examples produced. It includes a 1,140 horsepower Cosworth V-12 engine equipped with electric motor-assisted.
Further, this rocketship is capable of speeds of 0-100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds with a top speed reported to be more than 400 km/h. Better yet, the car registers only 123 kilometers on the odometer and is considered as in “New Condition”.
Over the years, this highly collectible Aston Martin Valkyrie nas set a new standard for road-legal cars with motorsport-grade performance. It’s the result of a partnership between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing. The famous Adrian Newey, an aerodynamics expert, played a key role in its design.
This 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss edition is priced to sell at between $3,000,000 – $3,500,000 USD. The car is only one of only 75 examples made; the rarest version of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.
Another highly anticipated collector car up for auction is the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss edition. This vehicle pays tribute to the legendary 300 SLR driven by Stirling Moss and is a famed 1955 Mille Miglia winner.
Limited to just 75 units, this iconic car is powered by a powerful 5.4-liter supercharged AMG V-8 engine that produces above 641 horsepower. Beyond that, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 354 km/h. For serious car collectors, the provenance includes an initial delivery to Luxembourg, and it is now presented in excellent condition with just 9,233 kilometers on the odometer.

Beyond vehicles, the Dubai auction will include a wide selection of highly collectible auto memorabilia. Some of the items include a race suit and a helmet worn by Michael Schumacher, as well as a wide variety of prominent scale model cars. The memorabilia section extends to rare and high-end watches with automotive connections, including a unique Rolex Daytona UAE (Ref. 6263) stainless steel chronograph.
Bidders interested in participating should be aware of the specific registration requirements for this auction, including a no-retraction policy for bids once made and the responsibilities of ownership transfer that follow a successful bid. The buyer’s premium varies, with a 15% rate applied to motor car lots up to a final hammer price of 0,000.00, and a mix of 15% and 12.5% for amounts exceeding this threshold. Non-motor car lots carry a buyer’s premium of 20%.
