Gooding & Company, a leading international auction house specializing in classic and collector cars, will hold its annual London Auction on Saturday, September 1, 2023, at Hampton Court Palace in London, England. The auction will feature a selection of over 48 of the world’s finest classic and collector cars, including a number of rare and historically significant vehicles.
Vehicle Highlights
- A 1955 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder SWB, one of only 55 examples produced
- A 1962 Aston Martin DB5, made famous by its appearance in the James Bond film “Goldfinger”
- A 1963 Porsche 911, the first year of production for the iconic sports car
- A 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 KR, one of only 56 examples produced
- A 1971 Lamborghini Miura SV, one of the most desirable supercars of all time
The London auction will also include a 953 Ferrari 166 MM/53 Spider, a 1952 Land Rover Series, and a 1911 Rolls-Royce 40/50 HP Silver Ghost Tourer.
HOW TO BID
Surrounded by gorgeous gardens and famous features such as the Maze and the Great Vine, the palace has been the setting for many nationally important events. When William III and Mary II (1689-1702) took the throne in 1689, they commissioned Sir Christopher Wren to build an elegant new baroque palace.
The auction will take place within the Concours of Elegance event, hosted within The Great Fountain Garden at Hampton Court Palace.
Guests wishing to bid or view the auction in person will need to secure ticketed entry to the Concours for themselves and any guests at the Concours ticketing website.

ABOUT THE HAMPTON PALACE (THE VENUE)
The Great Fountain Garden, nestled within Hampton Court Palace, stands as a captivating piece of history in London, England. With origins dating back to the early 16th century, the palace was initially commissioned by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey.

The Concours of Elegance (Classic Car Show) at Hampton Court Palace brings together a selection of 60 of the rarest cars from around the world – many of which will never have been seen before in the UK.The Concours Of Elegance London takes place September 1-3, 2023.
