The Sandhills Motoring Expo Three-Day Car Show and Concours Takes Over Pinehurst, NC, May 24–26, 2024

The Sandhills Motoring Festival and Concours d’Elegance will proudly present over 120 unique and hand-picked collector cars on the picturesque historic streets of Pinehurst N.C. over Memorial Day weekend starting May 24 through May 26, 2024.
The Sunday Concours & Car Show will feature over 15 classes of unique vehicles and a variety of specialty car display cars right in the center of the Village. The cars will be on display from 9 am until 3 pm followed by the car judges presenting trophies to the winners of the Best of Show. The awards start at 2 pm in the center of town.
The Sunday Sandhills Concours offers a breathtaking historic walk through time to share and experience over 120 historic and exotic collector cars with neighbors, friends, and family
Additionally, there will be an awards Banquet & Dinner following the vehicle awards presented on Sunday. The Dinner is scheduled for Sunday, May 26th from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the “Pinehurst Fair Barn” located at 200 Beulah Hill Rd S, Pinehurst, NC 28374. The award dinner will feature a silent auction, cocktails, awards, and a gourmet dinner.
The Moore County Airport’s Main Hangar will host the SMF Hangar Party on Saturday night, with special exhibit automobiles, a catered low country boil, exotic cars, and airplanes on display. Come enjoy a lavish SMF celebration.

Hagerty Drivers Club Cocktail Party

The Hagerty Drivers Club gets the evening rolling with a special, invite-only cocktail party, featuring delectable bites, adult beverages, and a welcome to Drivers Club members as they help usher in and celebrate the commencement of the Sandhills Motoring Expo.

Sandhills Road Rally

On Saturday Morning, the Sandhills SMF Road Rally takes off from the Pine Crest Inn on a 65-mile journey through the beautiful back roads of Moore County.
*** 2023 Sandhills Motoring Expo Road Rally, the winning vehicles included a 1982 Mercedes-Benz 300CD driven by Nick and Gillian Grdina, a 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo driven by Cindy Strickland and Wendy Fox, and a 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S driven by Dan and Balie Modesitt..

The Artisan Art Tour:
Saturday, May 25, 2024 (10:00 am)
The Artisan Tour commences at 10:00 AM from the Pine Crest Inn, located at 50 Dogwood Road in Pinehurst, NC, and takes participants on a journey to Starworks in Star, North Carolina. The drive, approximately one hour from the Village of Pinehurst, leads to a facility renowned for its unique approach to art, utilizing fire as a primary medium. Here, attendees will have the opportunity to observe over thirty international artists as they work with glass, ceramics, and metal to create stunning pieces. A highlight of this tour is the hot glass demonstration, where the intricate and mesmerizing process of glass making is showcased.
– First tour is from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
– Second tour is from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
Hangar Soiree Food & Social:
Saturday, May 25, 2024 (6:00 pm – 9:00 pm)
The Hangar Soiree, held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Moore County Airport located at 7825 Aviation Drive, Carthage, NC, promises an evening of elegance and excitement. Set in the airport’s main hangar, this event features a blend of fine dining, provided by Elliott’s on Linden, and an exhibition of exotic cars and airplanes. Attendees can indulge in gourmet cuisine while enjoying the sophisticated display of luxury vehicles and aircraft, making it a memorable part of the Sandhills Motoring Expo. This soirée not only offers a chance to celebrate automotive and aeronautical style but also provides a perfect setting for networking and entertainment under the backdrop of an aviation hangar.
