As the crowds of car enthusiasts and Spring Classic race competitors gathered for Garage Unlimited of Monterey’s car collection grand opening, there seemed to be a common theme. The Thursday, May 18th event was exceptionally well attended, with more than 300 people stopping by to be a part of the festivities. In addition, entrants in Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca’s inaugural Spring Classic produced a steady stream of classic race cars and car collectors visiting the complex. The Spring Classic got off to a fast start with a very successful weekend of vintage racing from May 19th – May 21st. The Ultimate Garage of Monterey Grand Opening Celebration!
The Grand Opening event at the Ultimate Garage of Monterey was a four-hour celebration — featuring multiple exotic, classic, vintage, and antique car collections — with extraordinary food and beverages; music with a live DJ; a book signing by Robert Walker, author of Cobra Pilote: The Ed Hugus Story; and live painting of the festivities by well-known “Motionsports” artist, Bill Patterson. Prints of the unique portrait will be made and autographed by Patterson to be given to each of the garage-condo owners at the complex.

Goshan Delos Santos is a long-time auto enthusiast.
