For 12 years, the Bonhams Auction has been a staple of the mid-January Scottsdale, Arizona, auction scene, and this year it will appear at the iconic Westin Kierland Resort & Spa. This one-day auction, which begins the morning of January 27, 2023, will feature over 100 featured vintage and classic collector cars. They cover the years from 1908 to the present and are presented by both American and European Marques.
The 12th Annual Bonham’s Scottsdale Vintage Car Auction will be held at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa on January 27, 2023.
THE BONHAMS SCOTTSDALE AUCTION
Now in its 12th year, Bonhams’ Scottsdale Auction is a major highlight on the international Motoring Auction Calendar. We are pleased to return to the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa for a live auction of exceptional motorcars.
Impressive sell-through rates and many world auction records have been achieved here, spanning the full spectrum of collectible cars. The 2023 Auction promises a carefully curated lineup of unique vehicles, which will be painstakingly promoted to the largest worldwide audience in the business.
FEATURED: “John White Ramshead Car Collection”
The Bonhams Scottsdale Auction will feature fourteen classic cars from the John White Ramshead Car Collection. First off, there will be the cars designed by Ghia for Chrysler back in the 50s and 60s. These were prototypes built by Ghia for Chrysler and were usually one-of-a-kind. They include a 1954 Chrysler Ghia GS-1 Coupé, a 1957 Chrysler Ghia Super Dart 400, and a 1962 Chrysler Ghia L6.4.
Above are three of the most beautiful single-version Chrysler Ghias ever produced. They include (top) a 1962 Chrysler Ghia L6.4 in Black, (Middle) a 1954 Chrysler Ghia GS-1 Coupé in Blue, and (Bottom) a 1957 Chrysler Ghia Super Dart 400 in Yellow.
Beyond the Chrysler Ghias to come under the hammer in Scottsdale from the John White/Ramshead Collection are rare classics from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. A couple of vintage collectible cars from the 1940s include a 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible, a 1949 Dodge Wayfarer Two-Door Roadster, and a 1948 Dodge D24 Custom Coupé. Then Rock-N-Roll into the ’50s and find the 1950s include a 1955 Chrysler Imperial Newport Hard Top, a 1953 Buick Skylark Convertible, a 1953 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible, and a 1953 Ford Mainline Ranch Wagon. The cars of the 60s include a 1960 Dodge Dart Phoenix Convertible, a 1961 Chrysler 300-G Convertible, and a 1962 Lincoln Continental Sedan. Lastly, from the 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING
Bonham’s is located on the Pittman Lawn in the west parking lot of the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, 6902 E Greenway Parkway, Scottsdale, AZ 85254. When entering Westin’s main drive from E Greenway Parkway, guests will see a parking attendant to guide vehicles to available and disabled spaces. Valet parking will be available for guests on auction day, Friday, January 27.
The Scottsdale Auction 2022
Bonhams will hold its 12th Scottsdale auction on January 27 for Live & Online bidding. If you can not attend, bidders will be able to bid by telephone or online. In addition, live in-person bidding will be open to pre-registered bidders at the Arizona Westin Kierland Resort.
The car collections will be open for viewing at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa on Wednesday, January 25 and January 26 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Bonham’s “virtual viewing” of the cars will be available by appointment only, and reports will be available upon request. Additionally, one-on-one car ‘walkaround’ inspections with a Bonham specialist will be available upon request in real time.
