Above is a 1966 Ford GT40 Mk II, which secured second place at the 1966 12 Hours of Sebring, offered at $8–11 million USD (Lot 102). Next to it is an extremely rare 1908 Mercedes 17.3-Liter 150 HP ‘Brooklands’ Semmering Rennwagen, winner of the 1908 and 1909 Semmering hill climbs driven by Otto Salzer, and third place finisher at the 1909 Champion du Monde with Camille Jenatzy, offered at $7–9 million USD (Lot 103).

Created by “Father of the Corvette” Zora Arkus-Duntov, the 1957 Chevrolet Corvette SS Project XP-64 is GM’s first purpose-built race car. This Corvette SS, completed and raced by General Motors, was driven by John Fitch and Piero Taruffi at the 1957 Sebring 12 Hours. Estimated at $5–7 million USD, it will be featured by RM Sotheby’s.
Beyond the four classic cars featured earlier, the auction will roll out the red carpet for a 1907 Itala 120 HP Works Racing Car (Lot 105), estimated at $2,000,000 – $3,000,000 USD, and a 1957 Chevrolet Corvette SS Project XP-64 (Lot 107), with an estimate of $5,000,000 – $7,000,000 USD.
Two additional scarce cars to be auctioned are the 1911 Mercedes 22/40 HP ‘Colonial’ Double Phaeton (Lot 108), estimated at $150,000 – $250,000 USD; and the 1965 Spirit of America Sonic I (Lot 109), carrying an estimate of $500,000 – $1,000,000 USD, will also be presented.
