RM Sotheby’s will host a personal estate auction for over 140 cars, motorcycles, and boats from the Gene Ponder Car Collection from his private estate in Marshall, Texas on September 22-24, 2022.
The Gene Ponder Car Collection Will Featuring Over 120 Cars, Motorcycles, Boats And Over 1,000 Lots Of Automobilia.
Some more desirable cars for sale include a 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster, a 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC, a 1960 Maserati 3500 GT Spyder, a 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC, and a 1956 Porsche Speedster 356 A 1600. Other cars for sale include an Aston Martin DB2/4 Drophead Coupe and multiple MGs spanning 1927 to 1971.

The highest asking price cars will be a 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster with an expected sale price of $1,700,000 – $1,900,000 USD and a 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Recreation.
Some rare collectible vintage cars on the block will include a variety of hand-crafted replicas and rare European sports cars that are rarely seen outside of car museums. Collectible automobilia such as classic signage, jukeboxes, fuel pumps, neon signs, wall art, and much more will be sold.
Two of the top cars to be auctioned will be this 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster and a 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Recreation.
