The Molto Bella car show was founded by longtime friends and car collectors, Frank Todaro and David Nelson. After the local “Glenmoor Gathering Auto Show” was canceled nine years ago, the two friends teamed up to start the Molto Bella Car Show with a tremendous amount of local support as a tribute to Frank’s father’s love for cars. The Molto Bella honors Frank’s late father, who passed away from kidney cancer some years ago which motivated Frank to donate all proceeds to the Summit County Kidney Foundation.

So you can see where this car show goes well beyond a Concours d’Elegance level Car Show that only features cars based on rarity, authenticity, condition, appearance… and all that. This show focuses on only top-level collectible eyeball candy cars that do not qualify for typical Concours level cars, but are some of the most sought-after cars in the world.

Co-Owner Frank explains, “It’s all about the kind of cars and the mix of cars we pick, not just Concours. Hot rods, touring cars, electric cars, movie cars, unique cars with unique histories are all part of the mix.” He continues, “Our music is also designed to get away from the Beach Boys stuff you normally hear at cruises,” he continues. “We have a great selection of the blues playing, cigars for people who enjoy smoking, great food and a professionally laid-out space for the cars. Finally, there is no judging. People love not to be judged. Your car is your trophy … what more could you possibly need?”

There is plenty of sponsors and local support for the car show. Sponsors include Cornell Tools, the Kidney Foundation of Ohio, Summit Racing Equipment, FirstEnergy, Montrose Ford of Fairlawn, Westside Jaguar, Maserati of Akron, Alfa Romeo, BMW of Akron, Volkswagen of Akron, Cell-O-Core, Mercedes-Benz of Akron, J.W. Didado Electric, House of LaRose, Stella Artois, Howard Hanna Real Estate, RM Sotheby’s and Todaro’s Party Center. (source: Molto Bella Car Show Website)

Tickets for the car show costs $19 for adults and FREE for children. All VIP tickets must be purchased online prior to the show. You can buy tickets here.

FOOD, FUN & CIGARS
Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the show including delicious lunchtime meals from Molly’s Café and Todaro’s, scrumptious gelato, and specialty coffees from the Cafe Arnone Gelato Truck, Cut & Toast Premium Cigars mobile truck, Family activities include Homes of Nature and the kids Playgarden. There will be a designed man cave-type area carved out for cigar smoking. A top-notch vendor will be hosing a Cut & Toast Premium Cigars truck.

ABOUT THE VENUE
The “Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens” is a 65-room Tudor Revival Manor Estate & Gardens that includes a Gothic Revival Conservatory, Gate Lodge, and over 70 acres of meticulously manicured gardens. The estate was built between 1912 and 1915 for F. A. Seiberling, co-founder of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.

FACTOID: In 1898, F.A. Seiberling (co-founder of the Goodyear Tire) started The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company with his brother Charles “C.W.” Seiberling. He started as the boss and became the top leader in 1906. By 1916, Goodyear made the most tires in the world.

The Stan Hywet estate boasts custom gardens, a greenhouse, and a carriage house. Its main mansion ranks among the largest homes in the U.S. This gilded age property spans four floors, showcasing a luxurious Old English design, a music room, a spacious dining area that accommodates 40, five guest rooms, and a swimming pool.
