The 66th Annual Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance & Car Show is a three-day car-themed weekend that takes place on the beautiful fairways of the Crystal Springs Golf Course in Burlingame, California on June 24-26, 2022. The Hillsborough Concours is the world’s longest-running Concours in the world  – Yes, that’s a fact! – so it’s no surprise that the car enthusiasts in South Bay California own some of the rarest vintage vehicles ever created.

This year’s weekend of car events will include a “Start Your Engines” kick-off party on Friday, a “Classic Car Tour d’Elegance” on Saturday, and a glamourous “Concours d’Elegance Car Show” on Sunday.  The car show will host over 200 museum-quality cars that date back to the early 1900s and also include specially cars such as Brass Era Cars, Sports Cars, Super Cars, and Historic Motorcycles.

The Concours this year will pay specially dedicated homage to the historic “Route 66″. Additional specialty car classes that will be featured will focus on Ferrari Powered Sports Cars, Shelby 60th Anniversary Cars, Modified European Sports Cars Through 1987, Important Bay Area Cars Through 1987, Shocking Classic Car Through 1987, and Iconic Yellow Cars.

“In celebrating our 66th year, we felt it was an ideal time to honor both the legendary cars and lifestyle that are historically associated with an icon of American automobile culture—Route 66,” said Concours Chairman Glen Egan. “Guests will have an opportunity to get an up-close look at perfectly restored examples of many of the incredible vehicles that could be found traversing the country on the ‘Mother Road’ in its prime.”

The Hillsborough Concours offers a forum for passionate vintage car owners to showcase their prized vehicles and to compete for respect and recognition for their commitment to preserving automotive authenticity. The Concours also aims to cultivate future generations of car enthusiasts by providing privileged access to some of the world’s most celebrated automobiles and by serving as a channel for inspiring and informative automotive knowledge and lore.

Whether a veteran Concours entrant or a first-time attendee, all will marvel at the timeless automotive designs whose aesthetics, innovative engineering, character, and attention to detail make them as relevant today as they were when first introduced decades ago.

To the benefit of the Hillsborough Concours Foundation, and all its people, the Hillsborough Concours proceeds will benefit three generous charity organizations. The organizations include the Hillsborough Schools Foundation (for a local school), AbilityPath (for special needs and disabilities), and The Guardsmen (for disadvantaged children).

There will be three main events over the weekend including Start Your Engines, The Tour d’Elegance, and the Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance.
Following are the dates of these events.

1. Start Your Engines – Friday, July 24
   Starting July 24th, The Start Your Engines Event hosts a spectacular kick-off dinner party surrounded by awesome car collections representing 120 years of history. Tickets for the Start Your Engine dinner are $150 per person. Consume your favorite cocktails and boutique wines from Adobe Road Winery and sample delicious hors d’oeuvres as you stroll amongst over 40 stunning automotive works of art from the private collection at the Candy Store.
2. Tour d’Elegance – Saturday, July 25
   On Saturday, July 25th, 2022 there will be a social gathering of car enthusiasts for a freshly brewed cup & of coffee in Burlingame before starting a  beautiful car tour through the California countryside. The tour ends with a gourmet catered lunch and libations at a surprise location. The Car Tour Tickets Cost $150 per car and $75 per additional passenger.
3. Concours d’Elegance – The Main Event – Sunday, July 26
   July 26, 2022, features the main event including the Concours d’Elegance and Car Show. The show starts from 10 am – 4 pm and will feature over 200 classic collectible cars on the beautiful rolling fairways of the Crystal Springs Golf Course. The show ends with an award for “Best of Show” and multiple awards for car classes. The Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance tickets cost $60 per person and FREE for students and children.

The event is conveniently located immediately upon exiting the Black Mountain Road off-ramp of Highway 280 in Hillsborough, California.

Directions from San Francisco: Take Van Ness Avenue/Highway 101 south to the freeway. Take Highway 101 freeway south toward the San Jose Exit. Highway 101 at the junction of Highway 280 south toward Daly City. Then exit Highway 280 South at Black Mountain/Hayne Road. (Map)

The “BEST OF SHOW” Award for the 2021 Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance was a . . .

The owners of the 1937 Horch 853 Sport Cabriolet are Valerie and Aaron Weiss of San Marino, California. The 1937 Horch had previously won second place in class honors in a special “Elegance In Motion” category at the Pebble Beach Concours d ‘Elegance as well as a “Times Elegance Award” at the Amelia Island Concours d ‘Elegance.
