The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, has provided a hyper-luxury and exclusive experience for car collectors and car enthusiasts from around the world. The Quail runs the same weekend as the famous Pebble Beach Concours and Monterey Car Week and offers a high price tag to enjoy exquisite, rare collections of classic and vintage automobiles and motorcycles. This year, the Quail experience will take place on the rolling greens of the luxurious Quail Lodge & Golf Club.
This year the Quail Showcase cars will include the 50th Anniversary of the 1973 RS Carrera, the Porsche 959s (all years), the early Bentley 1950s R-Type Coupes, and a special Eyes on Italian Design.
The Quail is similar to the Pebble Beach Concours but offers a more focused competition on the vehicles with a different twist. Though they do judge over 30 different classes of cars, The Quail focuses on vehicles such as celebrity vehicles as a class as well. Cars may not have as much historical interest, but they have extreme interest among avid car collectors and car enthusiasts.
The Car Show and Events Takes Place at The Quail Lodge & Golf Club In Carmel-By-The-Sea, California

FEATURED CAR CLASSES
Four featured classes this year include the 50th anniversary of the 1973 RS Carrera, showcasing Porsche’s most impressive Carrera designs of the era. The Quail event will also showcase the popular Porsche 959 and Bentley’s early 1950s R-Type coupe.
Additionally, the Quail will feature classics from the “Eyes on Giugiaro”. Giugiaro classics include prototypes, one-offs, and production cars, all designed by the renowned father-son duo, Giorgetto, and Fabrizio Giugiaro.

The car show will also spotlight Pre-War Sports and Racing Cars, Great Ferraris, Post-War Sports Cars from 1945-1960, Post-War Racing Cars, The Evolution of the Supercar, Sports and Racing Motorcycles, and Post-War Sports Cars from 1961-1975.
The Quail Car Show and Main Event Will Feature Over 300 Vintage, Classic, and Historic Collectible Cars On The Grassy Lawns of The Quail Lodge & Golf Club’s Fairways.
The show is also known to focus on early-built vehicles and performance vehicles, especially if the race car has miles and history on the track. Not only do they feature collectible cars, but they also have a large showing of vintage, classic, and historical motorcycles. Moreover, motorcycles that were created to set land speed records are of particular interest.
The Quail Motorsport Gathering is an annual event hosted by “Peninsula Hotels Signature Events” that is held every year on the golf course at the Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel-By-The-Sea, California.
Beyond The Quail Car Show, Bonhams Motorcar will feature a luxury car auction at the Quail Lodge on August 18, 2023. Lastly, the most disappointing news is that tickets are hard to come by. They were dolled out by the host, with the lowest-cost ticket costing over $500. There are even rumors that tickets at the event can quickly skyrocket to over $2,5000.

The 25th The Quail Rally, August 14 to 16, is a two-day drive through the back roads and picturesque vistas of California and the Pacific coastline. Comprised of 40 vintage automobiles from top car collectors and enthusiasts, it is a good drive, with good friends, for a good cause.
