Imagine rows of restored classics and supercars lined up\, with the San Juan Mountain ridges draped in autumn splendor behind them. Jaguars\, Fords\, exotics\, and pre-/post-war gems all vying for attention and awards. (Read more about the Telluride Ski Resort) \n\n\n \n\n\nDaily Flow & Atmosphere\nEach day brings its own rhythm: \n\n 	 \n\nThursday feels like anticipation: arriving\, checking in\, greeting friends in the hangar\, previewing art\, hearing distant engine notes. \n\n 	 \n\nFriday has motion: the Road Rally’s early engine hum\, winding mountain passes\, returning to Telluride’s Main Street as a parade of color and design. \n\n 	 \n\nSaturday builds to peak: the Concours at high altitude in daylight\, the panel\, the contests\, then evening festivities that let everything simmer and shine. \n\n 	 \n\nSunday is reflective: last views of art\, one more walk past classic cars\, small conversations\, awarding the concours\, people’s choice\, and making mental plans for next year. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nLOCAL HOTELS & LODGING INFORMATION\n\nContact: Alpine Lodging \n\n324 W. Your safety is our concern.” \nThe Cadillac luxury brand was founded in 1902 and named after Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac\, the founder of Detroit. The iconic Cadillac visual identity is instantly recognizable and is still based on the original brand’s logo from 1906. The famous logo was redesigned about 30 times since 1902. \nThe first Cadillac logo was designed in 1902 and featured a crest with swans and parallel lines\, with a crown on top and an ornate circle framing. The crest was inspired by the Detroit founder’s cat of arms. The wordmark “La Mothe Cadillac” was placed on the bottom part of the logo. The trademark was registered in 1906. \nA symbol of excellence redesigned\, it is inspired by the work of Piet Mondrian\, a European artist known as a very prominent geometric painter of the 1900s. \nThe crest of Cadillac was a design inspired by the French adventurer Antoine de la Mothe\, Sieur de Cadillac’s coat of arms. He is noted in 1701 for the founding of the city of Detroit and is said to be an ancestor of Henry Leland\, founder of Cadillac. The coat of arms was first used on Cadillac cars back in 1905 and was a registered trademark in the following year. \n\nABOUT THE GILMORE AUTOMOTIVE MUSEUM \nFirst Cadillac Logo from 1902 \nThe Gilmore Car Museum – North America’s Largest Auto Museum™ – is a collection of multiple museums displaying over 400 cars in a variety of examples of period architecture. \nThe cars include most every brand with examples from the earliest years to the muscle car era and beyond\, from million-dollar classics to modest four-door sedans; most all are fully restored.
