SUMMARY:Gooding & Company Monterey Auction Returns to Pebble Beach During Monterey Car Week (August 18-19\, 2023)
DESCRIPTION:Gooding & Company Auction is set to return to the esteemed Pebble Beach Monterey Car Week\, where it will auction off over 170 highly collectible cars. This two-day event is scheduled for August 18th and 19th\, 2023\, at the Pebble Beach Parc du Concours. \nIn the previous year\, Gooding & Company successfully sold 27 out of the 38 lots offered\, setting a new record and amassing a total of $74.2 million in sales. The highest bid was for a 1937 Bugatti Type 57SC Atalante\, which fetched $10.3 million. Other significant sales included a 1961 Ferrari 400 Superamerica Series I Coupé Aerodinamico and a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO\, which sold for $6 million and $5.7 million respectively. The average price of the cars sold was $2.78 million. \nThis year\, David Gooding\, the President and Founder of Gooding & Company\, expressed his enthusiasm about the record-breaking selection of vehicles that the company is set to offer at the upcoming Pebble Beach Auctions 2023. He highlighted the inclusion of the 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta\, a rare gem that has been preserved in its original\, unrestored condition. Gooding noted that vehicles of this caliber are a rarity in the market\, and their sale offers collectors a unique opportunity to own a piece of virtually untouched automotive history. \nGooding will be auctioning the above ultra-rare 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta (Lot 40) at the Pebble Beach Auction in 2023. The one-of-a-kind Ferrari is powered by a 2\,953 CC SOHC Tipo 168/61 V-12 Engine with three Weber 36 DCS Carburetors and a 4-Speed Manual Gearbox. Coachwork is by Scaglietti and Just Four Owners from New; Never Before Offered for Public Sale. This little gem is priced to sell for between an estimated $9\,000\,000 – $11\,000\,000. \n  \nFEATURED VEHICLE I\nThe star attraction of the auction\, the 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta\, is estimated to fetch between $9\,000\,000 and $11\,000\,000. But the auction isn’t just about this singular marvel. Gooding & Company is also set to present an exceedingly rare 2007 Maserati MC12 Versione Corsa\, one of only 12 production examples ever built. The auction will also feature a beautifully restored 1953 Ferrari 212 Europa Coupe and a coveted 1955 Lancia Aurelia B24S Spider America\, complete with a rare optional hardtop. \nAdding to the excitement\, David Brynan\, Senior Specialist at Gooding & Company\, highlighted the impressive array of Porsches that will be showcased at the upcoming Pebble Beach and London auctions. The offerings span from exotic 356 Carreras and Spyders to high-performance 911 variants\, including the highly sought-after air-cooled models\, the 964 Carrera RS 3.8\, and the 993 GT2. \nThe 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta\, presented in a wonderfully preserved\, unrestored condition\, is undoubtedly the crown jewel of the Pebble Beach Auctions. However\, Gooding & Company has also unveiled a range of additional prized Italian offerings\, from 1950s competition cars to 1990s supercars. Interested parties are encouraged to visit the Gooding & Company website to view the entire catalogue online and register to bid for this much-anticipated sale. \n  \nThe above 1972 Lamborghini Mirura P400 SV is one of Only 150 SVs Ever Built. The Lamo’s Technical Specs highlight a powerful 3\,929 CC DOHC Alloy V-12 Engine mounted under Four Weber 40 IDL3C Carburetors. All this torques a 5-Speed Manual Transaxle over 4-Wheel Ventilated Girling Disc Brakes. Together\, the car is capable of producing 385 BHP at 7\,850 RPM. \n  \nFEATURED VEHICLE II\nAnother standout vehicle to grace the red carpet at Pebble Beach is the 1972 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV. This car\, with its coachwork by Bertone\, represents the pinnacle of the Miura line\, being one of only 150 SVs ever built. This late-production European version comes with a split sump and air-conditioning. This Lamborghini stands out with its vibrant\, one-off color scheme that includes “Tahitian Blue” with “Gold” accents and “White upholstery”. \nThe Lambo boasts an outstanding provenance having been sold in Italy for the first time. The car was only owned by just three private owners since new. During that time\, it has undergone concours-quality restoration that was overseen by Italian Lamborghini specialist Cremonini Carrozzeria. \nAltogether\, Gooding will be featuring about 170 top-notch\, highly collectible cars for sale in Pebble Beach. The cars were carefully curated for the Pebble Beach Gooding auction and are some of the highest-quality vehicles Gooding has ever displayed. \nAbove is a 1933 Bugatti Type 55 Roadster once owned by Ralph Malone that was victorious at the Algerian Bouzaréa Hill Climb in March 1935 (estimated price: $8\,000\,000–$10\,000\,000) Another car classic (above right) is this 1960 Porsche RS60 with Coachwork by Wendler\, which is only One of 17 Examples Ever Built. DESCRIPTION:Attention all car collectors! Here comes a brand new auction to the The Big Easy. Barrett-Jackson will be venturing into the heart of New Orleans to auction over 150 vintage cars and a treasure trove of antique auto memorabilia. From September 28th to 30th\, the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center will echo with the rumbles of engines\, the buzz of bidding\, and the constant pounding of the auctioneers’ gavels. \nHave you ever dreamed of owning an exotic mid-engine like the 2005 Ford GT Hennessey 1000? Or perhaps you’re nostalgic for a gem like the custom 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle convertible from America’s golden muscle era? This year\, there’s something special for everyone. Here’s what’s crossing the auction block at the New Orleans Auction. \nFrom the creator himself\, Craig Jackson\, the man behind the Barrett-Jackson magic\, couldn’t contain his excitement about New Orleans. “This isn’t just an auction\, it’s a celebration\,” he noted. “From supercars like the 2020 Lamborghini Huracan to iconic American classics such as the custom 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window\, we’re setting the stage for a historical showcase.” \nSpeaking of supercars\, get ready to feast your eyes on a one-of-a-kind 2005 Ford GT Hennessey 1000 supercar modified by Hennessey Performance Engineering. This Ford 2005 GT boasts custom twin 67mm turbos and an impressive 1\,000 horsepower. Also in the limelight will be the 2020 Lamborghini Huracan LP640-4 EVO and the first-ever 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV straight off the production line! \nThis 2005 Ford GT 1000hp family includes 4\,028 total GTs produced by Ford from 2005-06 model years. It includes custom modifications by Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE)\, by custom-installed twin 67mm turbos in conjunction with the factory Eaton 2.3-liter twin-screw supercharger. All this added up and gave birth to the Hennessey/Ford GT1000. \nFor those who cherish the classics\, the auction will feature a stellar collection from the 1960s classics. Picture cruising in a perfect condition black 1966 Lincoln Continental V8-powered custom convertible\, or the rare 1963 Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadsters M-code Sports Roadster. New Orleans\, with its vibrant heritage\, is the perfect backdrop for our electric auction experience.” \nThis Verde Mantis Green 2020 Lamborghini Huracan LP640-4 EVO is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This EVO brandishes an original black interior with Verde Green trim and has only 17\,669 actual miles. \nFor Muscle car aficionados\, brace yourselves for some awesome cars!  A custom 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle convertible\, fresh from a meticulous restoration\, is set to light up many anxious bidders. If you’re intrigued by unique craftsmanship\, the custom 1967 Pontiac Firebird coupe\, aptly named “The Essence of 1967”\, is sure to captivate your attention. SUMMARY:RM Sotheby's Auction in Dubai Reveals Multi-Million Dollar Hypercars & Supercars on March 9\, 2024
DESCRIPTION:RM Sotheby’s inaugural auction will launch in Dubai for the first time on March 9\, 2024\, with a fantastic selection of multi-million dollar vehicles. The auction will also include priceless watches\, collectible model cars and other vintage car collector memorabilia.  The one-day auction will take place at Dubai’s new “Concrete” venue”\, a new uniquely designed building in the UAE designed by the Office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA). \nSCHEDULE (GST) \n\nPREVIEW DAY\nDATE:  Friday\, March 8 2024 (12:00 pm – 7:00 pm)\nDATE:  Saturday\, March 9 2024 (12:00 pm – 5:00 pm)\nAUCTION\nDATE: SATURDAY\, 9 MARCH 2024\n12:00 pm – 5:00 pm\nPREVIEW\n\nNotable highlights include a diverse selection of luxury and performance vehicles. For instance\, the 2018 Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet (Lot 140) stands out as a rare gem\, being one of just 99 examples produced. \nThe 2018 Mercedes-Benz G 65 AMG ‘Final Edition’ stands out as an exclusive vehicle\, with only 65 units available worldwide. Powered by a robust 6.0-litre\, twin-turbocharged V-12 engine\, it delivers 621 brake horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque. Dressed in an imposing Obsidian Black Metallic finish\, this G-Wagen is among the most fully equipped models ever offered. With just 457 kilometres on the odometer\, it presents a rare opportunity to own a piece of automotive history. \nThis ultimate G-Wagen\, designed for both luxury and off-road capability\, features a V-12 engine producing 621 brake horsepower and is estimated to sell for between $250\,000 – $330\,000 USD. \n\nAnother beast of a car at the auction will be a 2016 Koenigsegg Agera RSR with an estimated value of $2\,800\,000 to $3\,400\,000 USD.  The Koenigsegg is presented in a stunning black with red accents and carbon fiber trim. Best of all\, the Odometer reads only 993 kilometers. \nThe Hypercar Koenigsegg Agera is a mid-engine sports car produced by the Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg. It is a successor to the CCX/CCXR. The name comes from the Swedish verb ‘agera’\, which means ‘to act’ or in imperative form\, ‘(You) act!’. The Agera RS variant became the world’s fastest production car in 2017\, setting a record with a GPS-verified two-way average top speed of 447 km/h (278 mph) and a fastest straight-line speed of 458 km/h (285 mph). (Reference: Wikipedia) \nThis 2016 Koenigsegg Agera quickly became a hit after its 2010 launch\, earning Top Gear’s Hypercar of the Year award the same year. Despite Koenigsegg’s recent entry into the auto industry in 1994\, the Agera outshone older rivals. Koenigsegg continually upgraded the Agera\, releasing the Agera R in 2011\, Agera S in 2013\, One:1 in 2014\, and the Agera RS in 2015. \nThe Agera RS\, known as “the ultimate track tool\,” combined the best of its predecessors with a light\, racetrack-optimized design. It featured a 5.0-litre V-8 engine producing 1\,160 horsepower. In 2017\, a special version of the Agera RS set a world record with an average speed of 447 km/h\, making it the fastest production car at the time. \n\nAnother major draw for hypercar enthusiasts is the limited edition 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupé. With only 123 kilometers on the odometer\, it is presented in ‘as new’ condition. This rare vehicle boasts reflective gloss carbon fiber and Black Matte lightweight magnesium wheels. It has an electronically limited top speed of 220 mph and can outperform almost any other car on the road with an acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds. \nThis limited edition 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupé is one of the most wanted and sought-after supercars in the world. Designed by Adrian Newey Miles Nurnberger\, this  Valkyrie will come available at the RM Sotheby Bubai auction and will have an asking price of $2\,900\,000 – $3\,300\,000 USD. \nThe above Formula 1-inspired Valkyrie Coupé is a road-legal racer and Aston Martin’s Formula 1-inspired road-legal race car is one of only 150 examples produced. It includes a 1\,140 horsepower Cosworth V-12 engine equipped with electric motor-assisted. \nFurther\, this rocketship is capable of speeds of 0-100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds with a top speed reported to be more than 400 km/h. Better yet\, the car registers only 123 kilometers on the odometer and is considered as in “New Condition”. \nOver the years\, this highly collectible Aston Martin Valkyrie nas set a new standard for road-legal cars with motorsport-grade performance. It’s the result of a partnership between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing. The famous Adrian Newey\, an aerodynamics expert\, played a key role in its design. \nThis 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss edition is priced to sell at between $3\,000\,000 – $3\,500\,000 USD. The car is only one of only 75 examples made; the rarest version of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. \nAnother highly anticipated collector car up for auction is the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss edition. This vehicle pays tribute to the legendary 300 SLR driven by Stirling Moss and is a famed 1955 Mille Miglia winner. \nLimited to just 75 units\, this iconic car is powered by a powerful 5.4-liter supercharged AMG V-8 engine that produces above 641 horsepower. Beyond that\, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 354 km/h. For serious car collectors\, the provenance includes an initial delivery to Luxembourg\, and it is now presented in excellent condition with just 9\,233 kilometers on the odometer. \nVIEW ALL CARS FOR SALE AT THE RM SOTHEYS AUCTION HERE. \nBeyond vehicles\, the Dubai auction will include a wide selection of highly collectible auto memorabilia. Some of the items include a race suit and a helmet worn by Michael Schumacher\, as well as a wide variety of prominent scale model cars. The memorabilia section extends to rare and high-end watches with automotive connections\, including a unique Rolex Daytona UAE (Ref. 6263) stainless steel chronograph. \nBidders interested in participating should be aware of the specific registration requirements for this auction\, including a no-retraction policy for bids once made and the responsibilities of ownership transfer that follow a successful bid. The buyer’s premium varies\, with a 15% rate applied to motor car lots up to a final hammer price of 0\,000.00\, and a mix of 15% and 12.5% for amounts exceeding this threshold. Non-motor car lots carry a buyer’s premium of 20%. \n\nAUCTION LOCATION \n\n“CONCRETE” (Event Center)\nAlserkal Avenue\nDubai\nUnited Arab Emirates \n\n\nABOUT THE VENUE CALLED CONCRETE IN DUBAI \n“Concrete” is a unique\, multi-disciplinary space located at Alserkal Avenue in Dubai’s Al Quoz district. The Concreate venue stands out as the first project in the UAE by the renowned Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA)\, making it a landmark venue in Dubai. \n“Concrete” offers a versatile setup across its 600 square meters\, with double-height ceilings\, movable walls\, and a translucent facade\, designed to host a diverse range of cultural events including art exhibitions\, symposia\, and performances. Since its inauguration in March 2017\, Concrete has been a pivotal platform for both local and international cultural initiatives. \n\nABOUT DUBAI UAE \nDubai\, a city and emirate in the United Arab Emirates\, is known for luxury shopping\, ultramodern architecture\, millionaires\, and a lively nightlife scene. Burj Khalifa\, an 830m-tall tower\, dominates the skyscraper-filled skyline. \nAt its foot lies the Dubai Fountain\, with jets and lights choreographed to music. On artificial islands just offshore is Atlantis\, The Palm\, a resort with water and marine-animal parks. Dubai’s transformation from a small trading center to a global city and business hub mirrors the ambitious vision of its leaders. \n\nHOW TO GET TO CONCRETE IN DUBAI \n“Where to find us: Alserkal Avenue is located in the Al Quoz industrial area of Dubai\, accessible through three entrances on 17th Street\, 6A Street\, and First Al Khail Street in Al Quoz 1. \nArriving by public transport: Various transit lines have routes passing near Alserkal Avenue. \nBy metro: The closest metro station is Onpassive Metro Station (previously known as Al Safa Metro Station)\, serviced by the M1 line. It’s approximately a 5-minute taxi ride\, a 10-minute bus ride\, or a 30-minute walk from Onpassive Metro Station to Alserkal Avenue.” \n[widgets_on_pages id=”Events Widget”]
