DESCRIPTION:Broad Arrow Auctions will hold a one-day Porsche-themed auction at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta\, Georgia\, on June 10\, 2023. The auction will celebrate the 75th anniversary of Porsche motor cars and feature over 65 highly collectible Porsche-manufactured classics\, as well as over 50 lots of automobile memorabilia. The auction will be broadcast live over the internet on June 10th. \nOne of the most highly anticipated Porsche cars looking for a new owner is a Porsche 910 race car. This famous race car has both history and pedigree. First purchased by the “William Bradley Racing Team”\, the car was raced throughout 1968 and 1969 by such famous race car drivers as Vic Elford\, Bill Bradley\, John Fitzpatrick\, Tony Dean\, and Gijs van Lennep. \nThis is a 1967 Porsche 910 historic racing car that finished in first place at the 1969 Spa 1000 km race and in 12th place at the 1969 Nürburgring 1000 km. The race car was meticulously maintained by Road Scholars in Durham\, NC\, and fully repainted in 2022. Estimate the selling price is $2\,800\,000 – $3\,400\,000. \n  \nThe 1967 Porsche 910 has raced in historic races such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed\, Goodwood Revival\, and Le Mans Classic. The car was meticulously maintained by Road Scholars of  Durham\, NC. and fully restored by Paddy O’Grady. the Porsche 910 is estimated to sell for between $2\,800\,000 – $3\,400\,000. \n———- \nAnother show stopper looking for a new owner will be a bright red 1984 Porsche 962 race car\, as it was used in a Miami Vice episode back in the 80s. As a race car\, the 962 finished in fourth place at the 1985 Daytona 24-Hour Race and set a track record at the 1985 Sebring 12 Hours. Famous drivers who drove the car include John O’Steen\, Bob Akin\, Jim Mullen\, and Hans Stuck. \nThis car is a Porsche 963 and appeared in a Miami Vice episode filmed during the 1985 Miami Grand Prix as well as at the 2016 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance honoree\, chosen by the Petersen Museum for the Luftgekühlt ‘Prototype Giants’ exhibit. \nOne of the more expensive cars up for sale will be a 1964 Porsche 904 Carrera GTS\, which is Porsche’s final road race car. This Carrera has rare matching numbers and was owned by only one California owner for over 53 years.
