Tickets for the auction are open to everyone and are now on sale on the Mecum website for $20 in advance online\, or $30 at the gate. \nAbove are two vintage collector cars that will be on the block at the Mecum Monterey Auction. The first is a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Race Car powered by a 427 CI L88 V-8\, Campaigned by Alan Green Chevrolet and Raced by Gary Gove in SCCA Competition. The second is a rare 1963 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster with a 3.0L Inline-6\, Aluminum Alloy Block Engine\, and 4-Speed Transmission\, only 1 of 209 produced. \nNew this year\, Mecum will feature an innovative\, first-of-its-kind tech-focused automotive event called The Monterey Motorsports Festival (MMF). The event promises to captivate automotive enthusiasts through new immersive and engaging experiences. The MMF will take place all day (11 am-10pm) on August 19th\, 2023. It is only 1 of 149 ever built and is priced to sell at the Mecum Monterey Auction for between $3\,500\,000 – $4\,500\,000. \nThe 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster is one of the most iconic and coveted cars of the pre-war era.
