DESCRIPTION:The 29th Annual Amelia Concours d’Elegance will once again dominate the small city of  Amelia Island as it plays host to hundreds of award-winning classic cars and thousands of classic car fans. The event will showcase over 275 historically significant vehicles and over 25\,000 car enthusiasts on the rolling golf course lawns at the Amelia Island Ritz-Carlton Golf Club from February 29 to March 3\, 2024.  \nThe weekend includes a multitude of events including a VIP Porsche Winemaker’s Dinner\, a Cars & Community Event\, a Radwood Car Show\, a Porsche Driving Experience\, a Broad Arrow Auction car preview\, and a Bavarian Beer Fest. The weekend culminates with the Annual Amelia Concours d’Elegance\, followed by the Best-of-Show Awards. \nThe 29th Annual Amelia Concours d’Elegance at the Amelia Island Ritz Carlton Golf Club will feature a stunning display of over 275 classic cars\, attracting more than 25\,000 enthusiasts. \n\nFULL SCHEDULE OF EVENTS \n\nTHURSDAY\, FEBRUARY 29\, 2024 \nThe weekend’s events begin with the Annual Porsche Winemaker’s Dinner\, presented by Porsche Cars NA and Far Niente\, featuring an intimate gourmet dinner at The Ritz-Carlton. A sommelier will pair fine wines with gourmet appetizers and dinner. \n\nFRIDAY\, MARCH 1\, 2024 \nThe following day\, Friday\, March 1st\, features three events: \n\nPorsche Driving Experience presented by Porsche Cars. The Porsche Driving Experience allows you to drive a Porsche Car with a professional instructor. It takes place 7:00am to 4:30pm with tickets costing $150 per person\nSeminar led by NASCAR Hall of Fame Crew Chief Ray Evernham. The seminar\, moderated by Ray Evernham\, will feature speakers including racing legends Paul Tracy\, Danny Sullivan\, Terry Labonte\, and Ricky Craven.\nMovie Night for Hills Climber enthustist presented by Chopard. Movie Night features two short films followed by Hills Climbing events including a celebration of the legends of Pikes Peak Cars for the Hill Climb.\nFYI: Hill Climbing: The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb\, also dubbed The Race to the Clouds\, is a celebrated annual event where automobiles and motorcycles ascend Pikes Peak in Colorado\, USA. Spanning 12.42 miles with over 156 turns\, the course rises from Mile 7 on the Pikes Peak Highway to a breathtaking finish at 14\,115 feet.\n\nThe Porsche Driving Experience offers a chance to drive  Porsche Cars with a professional instructor to enhance your driving skills on and off the track\, covering aspects such as handling\, braking\, and navigating through obstacles\,  \nAlso on Friday\, you can preview the Broad Arrow Car Auction for sale and get up close and personal with more than 110 cars in perfect condition\, set to be auctioned on March 4\, 2024. The cars for sale include motorsport icons\, pre-war American and European classics\, and highly sought-after supercars. \nThe two-day Amelia Island Broad Arrow Car Auction will take place on March 1-2\, 2024 and feature over 150 exceptional collector cars\, ranging from modern supercars to pre-war American and European classics. (More Info) \n\nSATURDAY\, MARCH 2\, 2024\n \nSaturday\, March 2nd\, starts Cars & Community‘ event which offers a variety of car shows\, retro costume contest\, activities for kids\, a Beer Fest\, and eats.The Cars & Community event\, costing only $35\, runs from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. \n\nOne of the highlights of the Cars & Community‘ is the RADwood car show which features over 150 retro classic cars from the 1980s and 1990s. \nRADwood also hosts a Retro Costume Contest\, where participants don 80s and 90s period-correct attire to vie for the coveted Best Rad Dress award\, perfectly merging vintage fashion with automotive culture.\nThe Cars & Community event also includes a Cars & Caffeine car show that features over 350 eye-popping vintage cars from around the country. for the kids\, the Future Drivers Club will offer sound kid-safe events and activities\, just for kids.\nThe day winds down with an indoor Bavarian Beer Garden Fest with snacks\, food\, and drinks.\n\nLater in the day is a seminar honoring legendary Hall of Fame Race Car Driver Rick Hendrick. The show will showcase over 275 of the most sought-after and elegant classic collector cars\, distributed across 35 classes. Throughout the day\, these vehicles will be examined and judged for beauty\, quality\, and originality. Noteworthy for its innovative design and advanced features for the era\, including an electrically retractable roof and an early adjustable suspension system\, this car is also among only four known surviving examples of its kind. \n2024 Amelia Concours d’Elegance Best of Show winners were a 1935 Voisin Aerodyne and a 1964 Ferrari 250 LM \nAdditionally\, the Best in Show Concours de Sport award was given to a 1964 Ferrari 250 LM\, displayed by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum.
