SUMMARY:Mecum's  30th Annual Vintage & Antique Motorcycle Auction in Las Vegas Starts April 28\, 2021
DESCRIPTION:The new date for the 30th annual Mecum Motorcycle in Las Vegas will take place on April 28-May 1 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The auction will feature more than 1\,750 vintage and antique motorcycles for a five-day period. The auction was originally scheduled for January 26-31but due to the Covid Virus outbreaks in the greater Las Vegas area\, Mucum was forced to reschedule the show. There are many motorcycle enthusiasts that have been anticipating this show. \nOne of the most exciting motorcycles to be auctioned in April will be the 1917 Excelsior Big X with military forks\, a 61 CI V-Twin engine\, and a Luxor acetylene headlamp. \nAnother awesome motorcycle that will be auctioned is the 1952 Harley-Davidson K Model four-speed with a 45 CL engine. It is painted a beautiful Pearl White paint\, and the seller just rebuilt the engine. This thing should sell fast \nBut the main headliner is the Philip Vincent’sV-twin 1950 Vincent Black Lightning. This motorcycle is a legendary bike in motorcycling history. It features a new 70-horsepower engine and has an amazing top speed of 150 mph. There were only 31 cycles ever produced and should garner a hefty sum. \nTwo Highly-Anticipated Motorcycles to be Auctioned: Philip Vincent’s V-twin 1950 Vincent Black Lightning (Left) – 1952 Harley-Davidson K Model (Right) \nAs history shows us\, motorcycles have been around since the first 1885 Daimler Reitwagen made by Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach in Germany.  The Daimler Reitwagen is considered to be the first internal combustion (iCE) motorcycle. However\, the Hildebrand & Wolfmüller\, made in 1894\, was the first production motorcycle to be manufactured across the planet.
