Molto Bella Auto Show 9th Annual At The Historic Stan Hywet Hall & Garden Akron, OH (Sept 11,2022)

September 11, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Molto Bella Auto Show at the Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens

The Molto Bella Car Show is considered by some people to be one of the finest under-the-radar car shows in the country. The car show takes place on the grounds of the historic 70-acre Stan Hywet Estate in Akron, Ohio, on September 11, 2022.

In contrast to an official Concours d’Elegance, this unique car show has no official judging. Instead, the cars are hand-picked and are by invitation only. This opens the door to a wider variety of classic cars that do not regularly appear in mainstream competition.

The show features notable old and new Margues that include Ferrari, Bentley, Allard, Packard, Bugatti, Cheetah, Duesenberg, Jaguar, and Pierce Arrow.  Specialty categories that will be featured this year include Exotic Sports Cars, Rare Classics, Vintage Ferraris, and Custom Cars. The show features over 100 exotic supercars, 100 Detroit Muscle cars, concept cars, Concours-worthy classic cars, and everything in between.

vintage, antique, unusual, and custom cars

More than 300 vintage, antique, unusual, and custom cars will be on exhibit at Stan Hywet’s Gardens Estate, which will also have food, beverages, entertainment, and even a cigar booth.

Beyond the show cars, the event offers superb top-notch food, libation drinks, and a fun environment for friends and family. The show gathers over ten thousand people with special amenities including a Paygarden for kids, fine food from locally renowned Todaro’s, car-themed Music & Entertainment, and a self-guided tour of the luxurious Molto Bella Manor Estate.

The car show was founded by longtime friends and car collectors, Frank Todaro and David Nelson. After the local “Glenmoor Gathering Auto Show” was canceled nine years ago, the two friends teamed up to start the Molto Bella Car Show with a tremendous amount of local support as a tribute to Frank’s father’s love for cars. The car show honors Frank’s late father, who passed away from kidney cancer some years ago which motivated Frank to donate all proceeds to the Summit County Kidney Foundation.

So you can see where this car show goes well beyond a Concours d’Elegance level Car Show that only features cars based on rarity, authenticity, condition, appearance… and all that. This show focuses on only top-level collectible eyeball candy cars that do not qualify for typical Concourse level cars, but are some of the most sought-after cars in the world.

Co-Owner Frank explains, “It’s all about the kind of cars and the mix of cars we pick, not just Concours. Hot rods, touring cars, electric cars, movie cars, unique cars with unique histories are all part of the mix.” He continues, “Our music is also designed to get away from the Beach Boys stuff you normally hear at cruises,” he continues. “We have a great selection of the blues playing, cigars for people who enjoy smoking, great food and a professionally laid-out space for the cars. Finally, there is no judging. People love not to be judged. Your car is your trophy … what more could you possibly need?”

If you want a true collect car experience, you must go see the Molto Bella Car Show.

There is plenty of sponsors and local support for the car show. Sponsors include Cornell Tools, the Kidney Foundation of Ohio, Summit Racing Equipment, FirstEnergy, Montrose Ford of Fairlawn, Westside Jaguar, Maserati of Akron, Alfa Romeo, BMW of Akron, Volkswagen of Akron, Cell-O-Core, Mercedes-Benz of Akron, J.W. Didado Electric, House of LaRose, Stella Artois, Howard Hanna Real Estate, RM Sotheby’s and Todaro’s Party Center.
