Reflecting on the previous year, Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach 2023 witnessed the sale of over 622 vehicles, generating $44.4 million in sales and setting ten top-selling price records. In comparison, the 2019 auction saw the sale of 632 classic vehicles, totaling more than $30.18 million, alongside $550,000 raised from the sale of three charity vehicles.
Last year, the auction attracted a record number of 1,500 bidders and over 60,000 car enthusiasts. The 2023 West Palm Beach auction set a new record by selling over $745,000 worth of 263 automobilia collectibles, totaling more than $44.4 million in sales. The event also set more records with a 100-percent sell-through rate and over 40 world records in auction sales.
Craig Jackson, Chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson, emphasized that the Palm Beach auction aims to build on the momentum from the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale sale, a goal that was overwhelmingly achieved in Palm Beach with the sale of over 622 vehicles, all at no reserve, and almost $4 million raised for charity.
The Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction is a pivotal event for both car enthusiasts and celebrities in South Florida. Barrett-Jackson sold over 900 collectible cars at the Scottsdale 2023 collector car auction in Arizona to bring in over $184 million in revenue. Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach announced that American businessman, car collector, and philanthropist George Shinn will auction his expansive collection of cars with “No Reserve.” The George Shinn Car Collection includes more than 30 cars, including originals and Resto-Mods spanning the 1950s to the early ’70s. Additional car categories include hot rods and modern sports cars.
Among others, the George Shinn Car Collection includes the super rare 2009 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake, a 1958 Chevrolet Corvette 283/250 convertible, a 1957 Ford Fairlane Sunliner convertible, a 1960 Chevrolet Corvette custom convertible, and a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette custom coupe.
